Some minor improvements have been made
Mobile Renderer
- The Mobile render method is being supported as an alternative to Forward+.
- The game is split between two executables: Ventury and Ventury_Mobile.
- Mobile is better suited to be ran on low-end hardware.
- The game is split between two executables: Ventury and Ventury_Mobile.
- Various visual effects were adjusted to account for the Mobile render method's strict limitations.
Pace Keeper
- The game can dynamically adjust the target frame-rate based on performance monitors.
- Due to the implementation, it is eager to lower the frame-rate.
- It is possible that the pace keeper can assist in extending battery life by reducing the frame-rate.
- The pace keeper can be turned off in the settings menu.
Game Launcher
- A companion game launcher is included. It is encouraged that users launch Ventury using it.
Miscellaneous
- Minor HUD changes.
- Fix for delta-unsafe knockback impulses.
- Drop Shadows for Skeletons were optimized.
From glossydon:
Not much has changed since the last update. I apologize for the lack of a linux version this time around, as I've been busy with other things recently.
I'm happy with how the mobile renderer and other optimizations have come along, though. I'm hopeful that I can manage to reach the destination at the end of the long and stretchy road, while still navigating through and adjusting to adult life.
