Mid-November Combat Tweak


Nothing super major this time around. Just a bit of extra polish and continued developments on things which weren't finished for last week's upload of the game.

  • Rixin and Aria can both wear earrings when they are in possession of them.
  • A good chunk of warnings and errors were dealt with. A lack of error reports means better performance.
  • The elves have a better blinking routine, and no longer has potential for conflicts when making expressions.
  • An implementation of checking for overdraw using a depth buffer was made.
  • Objects can now have knockback impulses and other forces act on them.
  • Super-guarding attacks has unique animations from blocking.
  • Blocking with a shield now has directional animations based on the direction the blow was heading.
  • Super-guarding is now harder to perform when spamming the block button.
  • Super-guarding attacks is easier to chain, as the anti-spam measure is temporarily disabled for better feel of control.
  • The test enemy can try to raise their shield if Rixin is attacking in their vicinity.
  • The test enemy and Rixin both feel the effects of knockback impulses when struck by a melee weapon.

I hope to have a relatively more consistent output of test versions. Perhaps this can be continued at least through to the end of December?
